John Zarb, CDT - Owner & Removable Prosthetic Specialist
My introduction into the dental field came at the tender age of 15. I worked in a small three person laboratory on the tiny island of Malta. I only worked for one year prior to moving back to the States, but in that short time I developed a very strong interest in the dental lab profession.
After graduating high school in 1980 I accepted a position at a commercial dental lab where I learned all of the basic laboratory skills as well as receiving some very sound advice. I was beginning to show some interest in the “glamorous” field of fixed prosthetics and asked if I could be trained as a C&B technician. My friend and owner of the lab recommended that I continue to pursue a career in removable prosthetics which was becoming a dying art and provided the greatest potential for professional growth. Smart man-lucky me!
In 1984 I took a position in a group prosthodontic office where I could concentrate my efforts and be trained by experts in the field of removable prosthetics. Here I learned that attention to detail in both function and esthetics meant a predictable and stress free delivery appointment. The benefits of working in a dental office were countless. I gained a tremendous respect for our patients and developed a desire to insure their satisfaction.
After two years I decided to move from Michigan to Georgia in search of a warmer climate and continued growth. From 1986 to 2005 I headed the removable prosthetic department in a full service lab that shared my desire to provide excellence in all of our services.
Over the past 37 years I have attended countless courses accumulating hundreds of continuing education hours. I’ve also earned two separate certifications. One in Complete Dentures and the other in Partial Dentures.
In January, 2006 I opened my own lab “Master Dental Prosthetics” with the certainty of providing the highest quality and service but in a more personal atmosphere.
